This workshop aims at integrating emerging translation technologies and computer-assisted translation tool into the process of translation, thus enabling participants to finish translation tasks faster and with more consistency maintained in long projects. The course is practical in essence, as it aims to introduce trainees to key technologies available to aid the processes of translation and localization in practice. Trainees will build up a confident usage of CAT (Computer Aided Translation) tools is such as SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ, Xbencher, Wordfast, and others. In addition, trainees with receive hands-on training in the technical aspects of subtitling applied to audio-visual materials via a range of specialist software.
