The Translation workshop will focus on the rudimentary steps translators should go through while rendering a proper translation from source text into the target text. The workshop will focus on the technical and practical methods used in translating a given text; this will include meticulous analysis of the source text, from many perspectives: linguistic, semantic, and cultural. Then notions of localization, foreignization and pragmatic equivalence will be exemplified.
